I did feel that Uhmma was rather weak-willed, and for most of the story, appeared to embody the cultural stereotype of the weak-willed and subjugated Asian wife. While reading this book I felt it was close to being a modern day Cinderella style of a story. In the end the book does what they probably intend, makes economics a philosophy relevant for the masses again. Her love for the kids in the center and her professionalism in all things pays off - and we see that the old, determined Kyra is still inside, wanting to break free. Financial whiz Christian Nickleson moved to Breckenridge, Colorado to escape the rat race and mend his broken heart. I enjoyed this whole series. Other things bugged me like Nick giggling and saying things like "gosh", because, let's be honest, guys don't giggle and they certainly don't use the word "gosh" unless they're 100, but if they do either of those things I don't think you can call them "bad boys". It's a good read that will gaurantee to get you mad as heck. They are each very strong independent people. If you don’t like Rockton you just aren’t as twisted as the rest of us who do.
